My name is Pam Grunwald and I live in Castle Hills/San Antonio, Texas and I have been in a dental implant nightmare for 3 years.  I started out getting 2 bone grafts, one on each side of my front 2 teeth, for implants. Today, after a dozen surgeries, I have dentures.

Here is what my life is like today.

I have residual swelling in my right cheek and I can no longer smile due to the damage of 4 muscles in the right side of my face from a staph infection that was left untreated. In February of 2009 I was diagnosed that I have lost the balance in both ears which leaves you unable to function in the dark, unable to walk on uneven surfaces and my walking resembles a drunk. When I walk what I see moves up and down and does not stay still.   I recently went to a physical therapist to help me try to get a smile back on the right side of my face and in doing the exercises on my right cheek I ignited the staph infection back into my face not knowing the infection is trapped in my scar tissue in my face. I experienced all the same symptoms from before fever, chills, red cheek , my top lip looks like it has been overly botoxed and does not move when I speak leaving me with the all to familiar speech problem, my face then goes into the look as though I have Bells Palsy and after a few days on the proper antibiotics those symptoms goes away.  The antibiotics to keep the infection in check does not allow me to get into the sun and as a landscaper and lover of the outdoors and plants this has been very hard on me and add to that my inability to function at night I have a very poor quality of life.   The cost for this nightmare is over $40,000.00 in monetary funds but the the cost to my health and my quality of life I can not even begin to put a price tag on that.

Not one doctor has said 1 word to me and it took a court order from the Texas State Dental Board to get my dental records from them and I am presently waiting for the Dental Board decision.
